Usually I'm a total Scrooge about endless Christmas music in stores, but last year, for some reason, this feeling of holiday joy took hold of me and I was happy and joyous the entire season! My favorite thing about the holidays is the season of general happiness that occurs. It seems like people are a little more kinder, more generous, happier, and faith filled. People have a tendency to believe in the good and to have faith in others. I love it.
The cookies, the Christmas music, the lights - the world is blinging and glittering all over the place! It all makes me smile!
My favorite thing about the holidays is - sadly - knowing a new year is just around the corner. I love my life, but I'm one of those people who can't wait to see what's next.

Freshly fallen snow (or not so fresh), the holiday coffee beverages at Starbucks and Caribou, nutmeg, cinnamon and clove from baking, holiday scented candles, fresh cut Christmas trees and their hint of sap, and the crisp cold winter air. Such a great time of year!

It's impossible to pick one thing but I love the general feeling of christmas. That warm fuzzy feeling despite the cold, Christmas eve night always seems so nice and calm, Everything seems to sparkle from the snow and or all of the pretty lights and decorations, I love seeing my son's reaction when he first catches a glimpse of the gifts beneath the tree, I could go on forever.

my favorite thing about the holidays is the clothing!!! i mean - aside from being with family and all of the typical things you think of... the fun huge oversized comfy sweaters and the huge thick socks and sweat pants all curled up on the couch watching movies all day long during vacation... that's my favorite thing!!
