{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 29 and Day 30

Hey everybody!  October's almost over!  This 30 Day Photo Challenge actually made it more obvious how fast it flew by!  Here are my final 2 days of the challenge.  I hope you all enjoyed it!

Day 29, something in my fridge.  Wine and champagne that we've saved for a special occasion.  There is nothing fancy about the Beringer, except that Jason and I got it from the hotel on our honeymoon.  I don't know what we're saving it for, maybe an anniversary?  It might not even be good anymore.  I guess we'll see when it gets opened.

Day 30, self portrait 30 days later.  Here it is, my last picture of the 30 Day Photo Challenge.  I'm sporting a pink scarf for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend, and have a great Halloween tomorrow!

{Fab Find} Tulle

It's starting to get cold out, so I thought I would bring you all a cold weather Fab Find in the form of fall and winter coats.  I discovered Tulle last spring, and was instantly hooked.  They have great clothes and accessories at very reasonable prices.  Their selection of coats is awesome.  The photos above are just a few of the many, and they are all below $110.  Make sure you check out their winter accessories too.  They have a great selection of hats, gloves, and scarves.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 28

Day 28, my favorite color or pattern.  My favorite colors are mustard yellow and grey, so I thought it fitting to include them both.  This is part of my Halloween costume (Suzy Homemaker).  Speaking of Halloween,  I will be pretty busy tomorrow, so I will be posting Day 29 and Day 30 (last day already!) on Sunday.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 26

Day 26, something that means a lot to me.  My wedding ring means a lot to me.  It was a replacement for my original engagement ring that was stolen.  Jason and I waited quite a while to replace it.  Then a few months before the wedding we went and picked out a few choices, and Jason made the final decision.  I was worried at first that I would get sick of the sapphires as the years went on, but after 3 years I love it more than ever....the same can be said for my groom.  He is an amazing man, and I feel very lucky to be his wife.

I hope you all had a great Wednesday!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 25

Day 25, a picture of something new.  I'm super obsessed with washi tape lately.  It's so pretty and very versatile.  These are some new ones that I picked up for the holidays.  I can't wait to use them on all my wrapping projects!

I hope you all are having a great week so far!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 23 & 24

Hey everybody!  I missed my first day yesterday in my 30 Day Photo Challenge.  I came back from Vancouver yesterday morning, and then immediately had a bunch of ladies over to carve pumpkins.  I was just too exhausted after to do anything, so I'm posting yesterday's and today's picture.

Day 23, a souvenir from a vacation.  I bought this adorable little hat while I was in Vancouver.  Jason and I did some exploring at Granville Island, and we found this cute little hat store.  It's my favorite hat that I've ever bought, and I have a lot of hats!

Day 24, a book I'm reading.  Well to be fair, I just finished it.  It was so good I finished it in less than 6 hours.  It's Sisterhood Everlasting, the latest book in the Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants series (and the best one yet).  I felt like I was way too old to read the first three books (and I was), but this one skips ahead ten years so it was perfect.  I definitely recommend it!

This is my last happy Monday for the 30 Day Photo Challenge!  It went by so fast!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 22

Day 22, something I'm currently borrowing from somebody.  I am currently borrowing this adorable scarf from my sister.  My mom bought it for her at the end of the summer from Urban Outfitters.  It's super cute!

I hope you all are having a fantastic weekend!  I know I am!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 21

Day 21, a picture of something sweet.  Jason and I went out for brunch today, and I thought my pancakes made a perfect "something sweet."

Happy Friday everybody!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 20

Day 20, someone that you love.  Well this one was easy, my husband of course.  This is a picture of Jason from lunch today.

Happy Thursday everybody!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 19

Hey everybody!  I'm in Vancouver, and I was having some technical difficulties getting today's picture up. I figured better late than never, so here it is.

Day 19, what's in my bag/purse.  I usually have a little more in my purse, but I took some stuff out because I was traveling.  Here is what I have in my Marc Jacobs crossbody bag: passport, glasses, contact cards,  Fossil wallet, Fossil card case, Fresh tinted lip balm in plum, and Lollia hand cream in classic petal.

Well that's my bag.  I hope you all are having a great week!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 18

Day 18, a picture of anything; whatever I want.  I went to Cafeteria for lunch with my mom and sister, and they have a hallway with walls covered in cafeteria trays.  Pretty fun huh?

I hope you all had a wonderful Tuesday!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 17

Day 17, a picture of something fun.  I just put my fall and halloween decorations out, and I forgot I had this little guy.  Isn't he cute!

Happy Monday (night) everybody!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 16

Day 15, something you have too much of and is taking up space.  Well I love to bake (mostly cupcakes), and I have a whole cupboard plus a drawer just devoted to my baking supplies.  It's definitely taking up too much space, and needs some organizing.  I'd like to eventually be able to fit all my cookbooks in there too.

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 15

Day 15, something you own but never use.  I own but never use this vintage camera.  It's one of my favorite decorations in my studio.  I've been seeing them lately all over the place, and I'd love to buy a few more.

I hope you all are having a great weekend!

{Local Find} Papersita

This week's Fab Find is an amazing paper store called Paperista.  I stopped in there last week, and I am hooked.  I was able to meet the owner Antoinette while I was there, and she was such a sweetheart.  Besides all their pretty paper, they also offer custom design services, specialty printing, and custom stationary.  Make sure and check out their fun blog too.

Have a great weekend everybody!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 14

Day 14, somewhere you went today.  I went to Sweets Bakeshop to pick up some french macaroons.  I was craving them, and I got to use the Groupon I scooped up a while back.

Happy Friday everybody!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 13

Day 13, something out in nature.  This is the view from our front porch.  It's hard to tell, but there is a cute little pond on the left.  There is always lots of animals over there too which I love.  I'm particularly fond of feeding the geese that are usually there.

I hope you all had a lovely day!

{My Life} See Jane Work Focus Group

Happy Thursday everybody (it's almost Friday, yay!)!   Remember when I was talking about how I met Holly Bohn (see post) the founder of See Jane Work, or when I featured See Jane Work (see post) on my Fab Finds?  Well to my delight Holly selected me to be part of an exclusive focus group that she is having test and compare products.  I got my first shipment today, and it was like Christmas.

I was planning on using all of the stuff I got in my studio, but as I was unpacking it all in the entry way, I caught the eyesore that you see as you walk in our front door in Jason's office.  Now instead I plan to focus on making that look more presentable, along with working on organizing some of our built-ins that we have throughout the house.  I can't wait to get started.  We have to finish the garage first though.

Well that's it for now.  I hope you all have a great day!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 12

Day 12, a picture I took in class/at work/out and about.  Well I didn't have class today (in person anyway), I don't have a "job" per say, and I only left the house briefly to get bins for the garage and I forgot to take a picture.   Instead, I'm showing you a picture of Jason and my progress in the garage so far.  It's taking longer than we expected, but it will be so organized when it's when it's done.

I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far!

{Causes} Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Photo Credits (clockwise from top left): Fiat Pink Ribbon 500, Essie Nail Polish via Amazon, Chan Luu Bracelet,  Pink Ribbon Shemergency Kit, Loft Cares Bow Bracelet, Hunter Boots via Nordstroms, Tory Burch Eddie Ballet Flat, Philosophy Hope In A Jar, Coach Kristin Leather BCRF Hippie Bag and BCRF Keychain, and Sephora Pink Eyelash Curler.

Over the course of their lifetime, 1 in 8 women will develop a form of invasive breast cancer.  70-80% of those women will have no history of breast cancer in their family.  While there has been significant advances in treatment options over the last 20 years, there is still a long way to go.  In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month many businesses are donating a portion of their proceeds for certain items towards Breast Cancer Research.  I've rounded up some of my favorites (big and small) for you all to check out.

I thought the following quote was fitting, since I usually have "Words of Wisdom" on Wednesdays.

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 11

Day 11, a picture of my pet.  I decided to take a picture of Doggert in bed for this one because he is always so cute in the morning.   He makes it almost impossible to get up.  He's not one of those dogs that can't wait to get up.  Instead he is super lazy.  It's so cute.

Happy Birthday to my good friend Paula, and a happy day to the rest of you too!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 10

Day 10, something I made.  This was another one I struggled with because I've been making some pretty fun stuff lately.  Ultimately I chose a Copper Owl necklace that I made for my 2010 Fall Line that I just loved too much to part with.

Happy Monday everyone!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 9

Day 9, my favorite shoes.  Aren't they adorable?  They are Miss Albrights and I got them at Anthropologie last fall.  They have the perfect combination of neutrals in them, so I can wear them with almost anything.

I hope you all had a great weekend!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 8

Day 8, what I had for lunch today.  I had a delicious pumpkin muffin from Breadsmith on my way to the most amazing antique store I've ever been to (The Cottage House).  I bought a lovely chair for $18 (what a steal!!!) that I'm going to redo for my studio.  I plan to share the whole makeover on my blog sometime in the near future, and talk more about why this particular antique store was so great.

I hope you all are having a lovely weekend!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 7

Day 7, a picture of my phone.  I of course have the iPhone 4.  The lovely little case I have is by Kate Spade (love it).

I ordered the iPhone 4s this morning, so by this time next week I'll have a pretty new phone.  I think to commemorate the new phone I might have to get this cute new case also from Kate Spade.  They have a bunch of really cute hard cases, but I don't like how they make the phone so much more bulky.

It has been a sad week in the Apple world, so to end this post I thought I would include a quote from the late Steve Jobs.  He will definitely be missed!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 6

Day 6, someone who inspires me.  It was way too hard to pick just one, and unfortunately it wasn't possible for me to take fresh pictures for today's photos.  Okay onto my inspirational people.  The first is my wonderful husband.  He is extremely talented in so many ways, and he makes it all look effortless.  He is always instrumental in helping me pursue my goals, and is my biggest cheerleader.  I feel so incredibly lucky to be his wife, and I constantly strive to be there for him as much as he is for me.

The next is my Dad.  He has always been an amazing role model, and is always there to give my sister and I great advice.  He is also a great cheerleader, and is always very encouraging.  If I'm half the parent to my  future children as he has been to us, they will be very lucky.

The last two are my creative/career inspirations, Holly Becker of Decor8 and Leslie Shewring or A Creative Mint.  I loved both of their blogs long before I took a class from them, and when I met them both recently they were exactly as I had pictured them, talented, super nice, and down to earth.

I could have named a whole bunch more, but it would have taken me all day.  I hope you all are having a fabulous day!  Talk to you all tomorrow!

{Words of Wisdom} Woody Allen

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 5

Day 5, a cup I drank from today.  I made myself a homemade latte, and put it in one of my favorite coffee mugs.

Happy Wednesday everybody!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 4

Day 4, something that stresses me out.  Oh my goodness was this a hard one, not because I couldn't think of anything, but because I stress out about stuff far too much.  I put together a little collage just to show a few of the many.  One of my school books because obviously I stress about school.  A to-do list because I'm always stressing about stuff I need to get done.  Money because who doesn't stress about money.  Finally my watch, which represents time.  Whenever I have a deadline, I always stress about not having enough time.

I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 3

Day 3, something that I collect.  It's not something I set out to collect, but over the years I've accumulated a bunch of little journals and notebooks.  Some of them I love so much, I can't even bring myself to use them.

Happy Monday everybody!

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 2

Day 2, something that makes me smile.  Right now fall stuff is making me smile.

{30 Days 30 Photos} Day 1

As promised, I'm starting a 30 day Photo Challenge.  For Day 1, I am suppose to take a self portrait.  Now disclaimer, I don't normally dress like this.  Today happened to be my husband's 30th Birthday Party.  He wanted to do a "Beer Olympics."  Each team was assigned a country and mine was Scotland.  It's kinda funny that the day I start happens to be a day I'm wearing a silly outfit, but oh well.  I guess it makes it more fun!

I hope you're all having a great weekend so far!
